Five Senses of Haiti

What we saw . . .
  Glitter
covering hundreds of Haitian children
Over 70 Haitians participating in the
Pastor’s Conference
What we heard . . .
  Recess bell during pastor’s
conference and teaching over playing children
  A mom’s screech, “Preston
duck!”
Passionate singing and worship of the Haitians
What we smelled . .
....

Chicken compost making garden grow
  Diesel fumes waiting for dinner
What
we tasted . . .
“Savory yummy goodness” chicken dinner – Jenn
  Dirt,
sweat, and cool water as we worked in the Ag Project
What we felt . . .

Sydney’s bruises as she toughed out soccer with the boys
  Swift braches
whacking those riding on top of the bus

My name is Julie Schaefer.  I am the Missions Coordinator for Celebration Christian School. I am a mother to three amazing children. My heart is invested in the lives of the Haitian people and my children share that same passion. What more can someone ask for.....a job you love and family to share it with!
