Q:  What do
Haitians eat for breakfast?
A:  Beans and Rice

Q:  What do you do on
a Sunday afternoon with kids from the Mission?
A:  Take them to the beach to
swim where laughter, fun, and excitement is plentiful.

Q:  How to you
encourage a missionary in Haiti?
A:  Let her get involved with American
children’s church and help her see the good work God is doing in... this country.

Q:  What is Haitian church
like?
A:  A cultural experience, that, despite the obvious language
difference, God is praised and you even recognize some of the songs and worship
in English (who knew there were other verses to that “Christmas” song).


Q:  What do Haitians eat for lunch?
A:  Beans and Rice

Q:  How do
you make an orphaned child in Haiti laugh?
A:  Playing with them in the
ocean and by connecting with a special child you and they will have memories
that will last a lifetime.

Q:  How do you feel good after a couple days
of sickness?
A: An air conditioned car

Q:  Who is the best
interpreter in Haiti?
A:  Daniel Michel

  Over 70 Haitians participating in the
Pastor’s Conference
What we heard . . .
  Recess bell during pastor’s
conference and teaching over playing children
  A mom’s screech, “Preston
duck!”
Passionate singing and worship of the Haitians
What we smelled . .
....
 
Chicken compost making garden grow
  Diesel fumes waiting for dinner
What
we tasted . . .
“Savory yummy goodness” chicken dinner – Jenn

sweat, and cool water as we worked in the Ag Project

Day Two: Tired but Excited

Blanc:
    Everybody's new nickname
    Kids are amazed by the blanc visitors from America
    Convinced dimples are beauty marks
    Fighting over who gets to hold who's hand
    Braiding and unbraiding: braiding and unbraiding; how tight can they make it?

First day of Pastor's Conference:
    Bigger bus needed
    Great participation from attendees
    Tom shares his testimony

Day at School:
    Observed teachers in their room
    Excited about implementing ideas for tomorrow

Walk to the Beach
    Who needs bathing suits
    Pastor Nick rolls up his pants and dives in
    Watch your shoes, Preston: the kid with blue underwear has them

Visit families in the village
    Madame Gary: Gary's wife, no first name given
    Eyoud excited to see old friends
    Blanc hair is so soft and fun to touch

Thank you all for praying for us.  We miss you and think about you daily.  We came here with the desire to bless the Haitian people only to be blessed by them.  Even though you are not with us in person.... we know your heart is with us each day.  We will try to keep you updated each day!!!!

Visit Kids at Orphanage
    Amazing to see how we are here to build upon others that have come to love on these kids in Haiti
    Bringing out jump ropes and all the kids joined our entire group on the court
