Sydney S......
I have had a great opportunity to go to the impoverished country of Haiti . I have had many memories that I will never forget from funny times to getting chased by a kid trying to0 hit me because she thought I disrespected my mom. Some common words we use at home are bad words here.
Tom R......
It is hard to forget all the smiling kids' faces coming over every day to talk to you and hold your hand (or rub your fuzzy head). I feel like I got a lot more from the Haitians than I gave to them. Great trip.
Bill D......It was an honor to work side by side with the Haitian workers when building the new wing of the Calahon school. . It was a challenge but great experience building the Haitian way.
Chris M.....After miraculously being stopped from falling down a well by a thin piece of tin, I feel that I have been spared to serve. The experience has been a reminder of how fragile our lives are, but also how important it is to use our short time building up treasures in heaven. Being here to work beside and get to know the people has been one such treasure.
Alex B......
What a great time! I had a lot of fun working along side the Haitian men at the
worksite . I also enjoyed the time I spent talking with the guys who assissted
us by translating and telling us about the Haitian culture. It was a wonderful
experience I hope to be able to come back sometime in the future.
Larry Y..... My second trip and my heart
continues to grow for the Haitian proplr and the staff at New Vision. I am
amazed bt their joyful determination and commitment under condtions we would
never comprehend without experiencing it first
hand.
Jake T..... I feel blessed to have been given the oppurtunity to go on this trip. It was incredible to see the new building go from the ground up and I will never forget the kids and people I met. I will definitly be back.
Tom P ... The smiles of the children and heartfelt hugs of the adults will stay with me. It has become very clear to me that we are all one world with borders we have created. Developing relationships has made Haiti be closer than some far away place in the news. The team has been wonderful and their committment to help has been a example of what it is to care.
Shey...
Can't wait to come back. Life changing....AGAIN. Fun
Julie...
It gets harder to leave everytime. The Haitian people have become my extended family and I love them dearly. I am already planning the next trips and ways we can bless them in the coming trips.
Brandon...
I prayed for God to open my heart to the Haitian people, and he didn't dissapoint. So many great relationships. Riding a moto with simeon, impromptu iphone recording session with Maestro(the Justin Beiber of Montrious), being introduced at a local concert as the "American Artist", translating songs to creole, walking through the St.Marc market trying to fix a sound system that blew up. Stephen and Autumn, our missionary hosts astound me. They truly are an inspiration. Lord, you are so at work here, and I thank you for it! Love you Haiti. Love You Lord.
Sydney D...
Every trip is a new adventure for me, and every experience brings me closer to God. Words cannot explain the love I have for this place and the people. May God bless and bring Hope to this beautiful place. Haiti will forever be in my heart. Mwen Renmen Ayiti.
Chelsey...
I cant bleieve were already leaving! half of my heart belongs to Haiti, but the other misses my home and family. Such a bitter sweet goodbye. I don't even know where to begin to explain what I have learned or experienced , but I cant tell you that God has been working through us during this trip. I love you all and can't wait to come home and share my past week :)
